A removable partial denture consists of replacement teeth attached to a pink or gum-colored plastic base, which is connected by metal
framework that holds the denture in place in the mouth. Partial
dentures are used when one or more natural teeth remain in the upper or lower jaw. They are removable but have internal attachments, such as clasps, that attach to adjacent teeth, helping to keep them in the mouth. Partial dentures are therefore considerably more retentive than complete dentures.
If you are interested in a partial denture, make an appointment to see Dr. Bayne. He will talk about all of your options with you. If you
decide to continue with this treatment, we will make a mold of your
teeth. We will send the mold to our lab, where they make the partial.
Once we have it we will schedule an appointment to deliver the partial and make any adjustments.
